The JetStream Jazz CD

In July 2004 we spent a couple of days recording our first CD. It was an intense but exciting experience! The play list includes something for everyone, from silky vocals to racing upbeat numbers. The full play list is:

Sing Sang Sung - This Gordon Goodwin chart is an exciting parody of one of the most famous big band charts from the 1940s.

Dream of the Return - A beautiful Bob Curnow arrangement of a Pat Metheny tune featuring trombone, guitar and piano.

I Thought I Was Through With Love - A vocal with a catchy melody written by Bill Ashton and arranged for NYJO by Paul Higgs.

Body and Soul - One of the classics of the Stan Kenton repertoire, arranged by Marty Paich and featuring cool piano.

With an Open Mind - Terry Catherine's soulful trumpet melody is a band favourite.

Much Too Much - This Bill Ashton / Chris Smith vocal is a NYJO classic, rounding of the CD in true style!
